Networks Financial Institute (NFI) at Indiana State University was founded in 2003 with a grant from Lilly Endowment. NFI strives to facilitate broad, collaborative thinking, dialogue and progress in the evolving financial services marketplace, concentrating on the areas of education, outreach and research. Headquartered in Indianapolis with offices in Washington, D.C. and on the campus of Indiana State, and with outreach internationally, NFI’s goal is to serve as a catalyst for change in the financial services industry.
Through its outreach initiatives, NFI connects financial, business and educational expertise and resources with community needs. Among our key programs is the My Cash Counts™ financial literacy initiative. Financial literacy is a lifelong learning endeavor. From our Kids Count financial literacy curriculum to the Money Bus, a mobile financial literacy classroom, from groundbreaking financial literacy research to best in class professional development events for educators, NFI is focused on heightening awareness and positively impacting personal financial knowledge around Indiana and nationwide.
